Getting to Know the Different Billiard Balls
All the games that are played in billiard require one to have different kinds of balls. The kind of friction these balls contain and the way there finishing have been done greatly affect the quality of the game and the big players ponder upon such points rather greatly. At each modern and quality billiard hall you would find a separate set of billiard balls for a separate kind of game.
The basic way adopting which the billiard balls are made is rather same. All of the billiard balls are round in shape and are made up of some plastic compound. At the times when people first started with playing the game, they used to have the wooden made balls, later on they used to have those that were made up of ivory. However soon it was realized that killing the innocent elephants just for making the balls of a game was rather not justifiable.
Afterward celluloid was used to make the billiard balls but than it was realized that celluloid is quit harmful for the players, upon this the makers of these balls started using different plastic compounds to make the billiard balls. Generally the players that are new in the game usually do not care about the balls they are playing with, but those that are professional and are considered to be good players usually prefer playing with their favorite balls. Each game of billiard has a unique and different set of balls.
Each game of billiard require a different set of balls and despite of having similarity we cannot use the same balls in different games. One such game that is played on billiard is known as carom. The game only requires three balls to be played and these three colors are red, white and a yellow or white ball with a dot on it.
